Kathryn Bowles

Dr. Bowles is a Project Co-Investigator. Dr. Bowles is an Instructor in the Department of Neuroscience. She is a member of both the Friedman Brain Institute (FBI) and the Black Family Stem Cell Institute (BFSCI). She has worked on neurodegeneration (Huntington’s disease and Tauopathies) since 2009 (Cardiff University, UK and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NY USA), with a focus on integrating stem cell, experimental and computational approaches in human cell models and brain tissues.

Danielle Swaney

Dr. Swaney is the Proteomics Core Project Lead. Dr. Swaney is Assistant Adjunct Professor in the Department of Cellular & Molecular Pharmacology. She is an expert in the methods of protein and phosphorylation site identification using mass spectrometry and bioinformatics. She runs the Thermo Fisher Scientific Proteomics Facility for Disease Target Discovery at the Gladstone Institutes.

Lea T. Grinberg

Dr. Lea T. Grinberg is the Human Biology Validation Core Project Lead. Dr. Grinberg is a neuropathologist with extensive expertise in neuropathology and brain banking. Her research focuses on early stages of neurodegenerative diseases in humans and method development.

Timothy S. Chang

Dr. Timothy Chang is the Data Core Project Lead. Dr. Chang is an Assistant Professor in Neurology with extensive bioinformatics experience in multi-omic (e.g. transcriptomic, epigenomic, proteomic) data storage and analysis, including data quality control, differential expression analysis, pathway analysis and multi-omic integrative analytical methods in order to identify biological mechanisms of disease. He will coordinate and augment data collection, sharing and analysis using computational servers and other databases implemented in the Informatics Center for Neurogenetics and Neurogenomics.

David Elashoff

Dr. David Elashoff is the Data Core Project Lead. Dr. Elashoff is Professor of Medicine, Biostatistics and Computational Medicine at UCLA. He has been the Director of the Department of Medicine’s Statistics Core for 10 years and the Biostatistics Core in multiple collaborative NIH grants, including the previous UCLA Alzheimer’s disease Research Center. Dr. Elashoff will be coordinate data storage and sharing.

Woojin Jung

Woojin Jung is the Center Project Coordinator. Woojin Jung is the Project Coordinator of Ronald M. Loeb Center for Alzheimer’s Disease at ISMMS and has experience in project management and grant administration, and strong organizational experience and skills in coordinating large projects.
